Costs and Logistics

Please see the route page for up-to-date costs of the trip. We’re not out to make big money, just enough to keep the project alive and developing in the future.

The money you pay includes:

  • All necessary accommodation. 80% Camping (wild/in gardens of our contacts), 20% Hostels/Hotels.
  • All necessary food, both that cooked in the truck’s kitchen, and that purchased in restaurants (once a day, most likely).
  • All necessary transport.
  • Good times.
  • Help with getting your visas and booking cheap flights
  • The cost of an additional local guide to join us in the Truck whilst in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
  • Daily beginner Russian lessons in the truck with Yegor (books provided).
  • An expected major weekly sporting/adventure activity (hunting, rafting, skiing etc.)
  • An expected major weekly cultural event (homestay, BBQ, staying in yurts etc.)

Not included:

  • Chewing Gum.

On second thoughts we can probably stretch to chewing gum.

Regarding Payment and the Deposit:

We require a partially-refundable deposit of 30% of your trip cost to secure your place in our trek. Because you taking up a seat could deter others from going, we have a certain time period for which the deposit refund is valid. If you cancel greater than or exactly 60 days before the first scheduled meeting of travellers in Lvov, you receive 80% of your deposit back. Shurik and Yegor will use your money to get drunk.

75% payment for the trip must be made 45 days before you join the trip. The remainder is paid upon arrival.

Regarding Visas:

See the route page for more information on what visas are required. Contact us for more information.

Booking Flights

For booking flights, the following page is highly recommended to find the cheapest fares: Also see the links on The Route page for transport links to Lviv, and ways to travel onwards at the end of the trip.
